Given a pledge by Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac to suspend foreclosure sales on single-family occupied homes until Jan. 9 of 2009, Foreclosure Listing Service (FLS) President George Roddy said he was somewhat surprised that 47 percent of the homes scheduled to be listed for public auction in nine Central Texas counties next month involved one of their mortgages.

Nebraska nearly has the lowest foreclosure rate in the nation. RealtyTrac, a foreclosure listing service, says the state’s foreclosure rate again ranked 49th in the nation in November and remained significantly lower than the national rate.
